Obituary of Robert W. Krahn

Robert W. (Bob) Krahn, born June 26, 1931 to Milo and MaryBelle (Elphick) Krahn, entered into life eternal on May 18, 2014. A Whitewater HS graduate, he completed the UW Madison Agricultural Short Course. Bob retired from WUSD as a custodian at Lincoln Elementary. He took pride in his work, especially building projects, and was known to be quite a cabinet builder. Animals were a large part of Bob's life, Growing up raising pigs & turkeys, and of course many will remember rabbits, sheep, goats, donkeys, chickens, peacocks, and of course, his beloved dogs. Masonry was very meaningful to Bob. A 42 year member of St Johns Lodge #57 F&AM in Whitewater, Bob was also involved with the Scottish Rite and Zor Shriners in Madison. "Pippin" was Bob's character as a Zor Clown, where he brought smiles to faces for many years. Not the easiest man to get to know or understand, he did have an opinion on things, all you had to do was ask...if he had not already volunteered it. Bob is survived by one daughter, Barbara (Charles) Brewer of Chili, WI, two granddaughters Kristine (Jerry) Gadke of Marshfield, WI, and Kathy ( Scott ) Schultz Medford WI, five great grandchildren Jacob, Faith, Brittney, Makayla, and Alexis. One brother Gerald (Janet) Krahn of Cape Coral, FL, nephews Steve (Michelle) Krahn and Gary Krahn of Wisconsin Dells, WI, Jeffrey (Jolene) Krahn of Janesville, WI. Thank you to all the wonderful people at Rainbow Hospice in Johnsons Creek who made his final weeks as comfortable as possible. Visitation will be Thursday, May 22nd from 4PM to 6PM followed by a Masonic Memorial Service, at Nitardy Funeral Home, 550 N. Newcomb St, Whitewater, WI at 6PM. Burial will be a Hillside Cemetery, Whitewater, WI. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Wisconsin Masonic Foundation, Shriners Hospitals for Children, or a charity of your choice.
