Obituary of Beatrice Frances Legge

Beatrice "Bea" Frances Legge, age 92, of Cambridge, WI, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2014, at Nazareth Health & Rehab in Stoughton, WI. Bea was born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on December 19, 1921, the daughter of Benjamin and Ella (Yort) Bridges. On June 24, 1946, Bea married Donald Legge in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Don preceded her in death in 1987. Bea worked as a waitress for 20 years. She was an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Cambridge, WI and enjoyed doing volunteer work. Surviving are: Five Children: Richard (Barbara) Legge, Cambridge, WI, James (Edith) Legge, Cambridge, WI, Mary (Fred) Barlow, Holcombe, WI, Bonnie (Richard) Harder, Spooner, WI, and Virginia "Ginger" (Herman) Holzapfel, Cambridge, WI, Fourteen Grandchildren: Tony, Heather, Tim, Julie, Tracy, Lisa, Monica, Heidi, Alex, Dan, David, Troy, Ben, and Josh, Thirteen Great-grandchildren: Allysa, Abby, Cameron, Trissa, Bell, Calee, Nolan, Addie, Jackson, Kylie, Deven, Annilee, and Oliver. Bea is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bea was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald, brothers: Tom, Gerald, Ben, and Peter Bridges, and sisters: Catherine Holmes, Louise Bridges, Patricia Wise, Marion Eisenreich, Beverly Wold, and Rita Bridges. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 701 W. Water Street, Cambridge, WI with Father Francisco Higuera celebrating. Burial will be in Lake Ripley Cemetery, Town of Oakland, WI. Friends may call after 10AM on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at the church until the time of the Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial to St. Pius X Catholic Church, Cambridge, WI.
