Obituary of Linn Elmer Nicholas

Linn Elmer Nicholas, age 78, of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Linn was born in Miller, Missouri on March 31, 1936, the son of Donovan and Mary (Ball) Nicholas. He served his Country in the U.S. Army from December 14, 1955 until March 7, 1962. On June 3, 1978, Linn married Pamela Schilberg Zastrow. Linn owned and operated Nicholas Distribution Company and drove truck for Opportunities, Inc. for 18 years. He enjoyed watching and was a big fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Badger football teams. Surviving are: Wife:Pamela Nicholas, Fort Atkinson, WI, Children: Paula (Scott) Bush, Fort Atkinson, WI, Paul Nicholas, Verona, WI, Peter (Kathy) Nicholas, Beaver Dam, WI, Patrick Nicholas, Appleton, WI, Phil (Kim) Nicholas, Watertown, WI, James Plaster, Milwaukee, WI, and Sara (John) Jones, Cambridge, WI, Step-Children: Michael Zastrow, Watertown, WI, Scott (Chrissy Henderson) Zastrow, Fort Atkinson, WI, and Kimberly (Aaron) Underwood, Fort Atkinson, WI, Siblings: Edward Nicholas, Oregon, Edna (Frankie) Obenauf, Michigan, Donna Harris, California, Elsie Wegner, Fort Atkinson, WI, and Adrian Nicholas, Fort Atkinson, WI. He is further survived by many grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Linn was preceded in death by his parents, a son Perry, his first wife Toshie, brothers: Mark and Paul, sisters: Averil and Noema, and his father and mother-in-law: Leo and Irene Schilberg. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at 11:00 AM at the Nitardy Funeral Homes Chapel, 1008 Madison Ave.,Fort Atkinson, WI with Rev. Bill Beyer officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 10AM on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the Nitardy Funeral Home until the time of the services.
