Obituary of Earl Howard Ellickson

Earl Howard Ellickson, 89 of Cambridge, Wisconsin passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at Nazareth Health & Rehab in Stoughton, Wisconsin. Earl was born in the Town of Christiana, Wisconsin on April 24, 1925, the son of Bernie and Ella (Lien) Ellickson. He was born on the family farm and was a farmer all his life until he moved into Cambridge in 1990. On August 2, 1952, Earl married Ruby Glee Clark in Marshall Township, Wisconsin. Earl was a member of East Koshkonong Lutheran Church and served on the church council. He was a member of the East Koshkonong Lutheran Cemetery Board for 50 years, and a card club member for 53 years. Earl was also a member of the farm bureau and milk organization board for many years, and served as a member of the Cambridge School Board for many years. Surviving are: Wife Ruby Glee Ellickson, Cambridge, Children: Jack (Judy) Ellickson of Stoughton, Roy (Mary) Ellickson of Cambridge, Ruby Ellickson of Cambridge, and Rose (Tom) Jelinek of Cambridge Grandchildren: Jessica, Jamie (Dan) Mowry, Joe, Jennifer Barton, Kimberly (Michael) Cutrano, Ryan (Megan Kalscheur) Ellickson, Matthew, Alesia, Pavel, and Roman Jelinek Great-Grandchildren: Haley and Nicholas Ellickson, Tristan Barton, Michael III, Caroline, Samuel, and William Cutrano, and Ethan, Josiah, and Sage Mowry Brother: Donald Ellickson of Eau Claire Earl was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at East Koshkonong Lutheran Church, Cambridge, Wisconsin with Pastor Michael Rehak officiating. Interment will be in East Koshkonong Lutheran Cemetery, Cambridge, WI. Friends may call from 4-7 PM on Friday, July 25, 2014 at the Nitardy Funeral Home, 208 N. Park Street, Cambridge, Wisconsin and after 10 AM on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at the church until the time of the services. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider East Koshkonong Lutheran Church or Rainbow Hospice.
