Obituary of Bruce Ellis Johnson

Bruce Ellis Johnson, age 79, of Whitewater, WI passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Janesville, Wisconsin. Bruce was born in Whitewater, Wisconsin on February 23, 1935, the son of Theodore Ellis and Janet (Kurtz) Johnson.�� On June 29, 1957, Bruce married Janice Ann Schultz. Bruce worked as a shipping foreman for the Coburn Company in Whitewater for 30 years. Bruce was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Whitewater. He loved his grandchildren dearly, and enjoyed snowmobiling, woodworking, antiquing, racing stock cars, and was an avid racing fan for many years. Surviving are: Wife: Janice Ann Johnson, Whitewater, WI, Two children: Jillian (Brian) Johnson, Jefferson, WI and Todd Johnson, Jefferson, WI, and Three grandchildren: Brooke, Kaden, and Kennedy. He is further survived by many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, a son Terry, and a brother Dean. Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 28, 2014, at 11:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church, 116 S. Church Street, Whitewater, WI with Pastor Jonathan Rossman officiating. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Whitewater, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 9AM on Monday at the church until the time of the services.
