Irene Rose

Obituary of Irene Fleming Rose

Irene Fleming Rose 1/23/1914 - 8/2/2014 She's dancing with angels and truly is the brightest and newest star in the heavens. Perhaps she invented the notion of being practical because she truly lived it along with a stiff dose of honesty all of her 100 years. Humor? Yes, but oh so subtle and coy. Accomplishments? Too numerous to mention. Our beacon, our rock, our mother has left us and transitioned home to instead be with our dad Harry and her brothers and sisters Robert, Ruby, Eugene, Horace, Clarence, Marie and Stuart. Her children Gary, Terry, Joyce, their life partners (Ann, Pam and Cynthia) and her five wonderful grandchildren and nine great grandchildren will forever remember her spirit and spunk. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there; I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sun on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there; I did not die. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of our mom to the charity of your choice. Private family services will be held. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson, WI is assisting the family.
