Obituary of Sandra Lee Bender

Sandra Lee Bender, age 67, of Fort Atkinson, WI passed away at her home surrounded by her family�on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 to join the love of her life Conrad, who died in a car accident on August 4, 2014. Sandra was born in West Allis, Wisconsin on March 26, 1947, the daughter of Everett and Dolores (Sorenson) Calhoun. She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1965. On August 5, 1988, Sandy married Conrad G. Bender. Sandy worked for WPS in Madison for 34 years, working in the Human Resources Department and serving as Director of Compensation and Benefits. Sandy enjoyed spending time with Conrad and her grandchildren, gardening, and shopping. Surviving are: Daughter: Cindy Korth Hoffman, Fort Atkinson, WI, Son: Kevin (Shawn) Korth, Cambridge, WI, Grandchildren:Katie, Mollie, & Gracie Korth and Isaiah & Eli Hoffman, Step-Son: Randy Bender, Conover, WI, Step-Daughter: Kelly Bender, Madison, WI, Brother: Everett "Duane" Calhoun, Rimrock, AZ, and Two Sisters: Diana Simdon, Madison, WI and Cathy (Allen) Howe, Cambridge, WI. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Conrad, brother Glen Calhoun, sister: Vicky Jones, and an infant sister Linda. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1660 Endl Blvd, Fort Atkinson, WI with Father Brian Wilk officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Friends may call from 4-8PM on Monday, August 25, 2014 at the Nitardy Funeral Home, 1008 Madison Ave., Fort Atkinson, WI and after 10AM on Tuesday at the church until the time of the services.
