Obituary of Robert Roy Sherman

Robert "The General" Sherman, age 84, of Whitewater, Wisconsin passed away on Friday, September 5, 2014. Bob was born on February 14, 1930 on the Sherman Homestead Farm, South of Whitewater. In 1952, Bob married June Hoge of Milton, Wisconsin. Together they operated the family dairy farm for over 60 years. Besides farming, Bob sold Insurance part time. Bob also drove school bus for 40 years and transported multi-generations of children. Surviving are: Wife: June, Son: Michael (Cheryl), Daughter: Mary (Michael), Son: John (Donna), Daughter: Vicki (Dunavan), Seven Grandchildren and a new great-granddaughter, Three brothers: Lawrence (Kathy) Sherman, Joe Sherman, and Jim (Gail) Sherman. Robert can now join his parents George and Elizabeth, and a sister Irene. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 8, 2014 from 4-6PM at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, 550 N. Newcomb Street, Whitewater, WI. Per Bob�s wishes, private family services with Rev. Jerald Wendt officiating will be held at a later date.
