Obituary of Charles Alan Moyes

Charles Alan Moyes, age 67, of Helenville, WI passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at the Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Charles was born in Morris Township, New Jersey on January 24, 1947, the son of Charles and Elizabeth (Weaver) Moyes. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, serving on the USS Ticonderoga Aircraft Carrier. On December 11, 1971, Charles married Ella Wells in Whitewater, Wisconsin. He worked at the A.O. Smith Company. Charles enjoyed model trains and working with Operation Migration for the Whooping Cranes. Surviving are: Wife: Ella Moyes, Helenville, WI, Two Daughters: Christina Moyes, Golden Valley, MN and Melanie (Paul) Rue, Jefferson, WI, Three Grandchildren: Lilin, Amelia, and Eli, Sister: Patricia Schmid, DeForest, WI, Brother: Richard Moyes, Louisville, KY, Brother: Clifford Moyes, Horicon, WI, Sister: Dorothy (Kermit) Singer, Baraboo, WI, and Sister: Elizabeth (Joe) Wagi, Fort Atkinson, WI Charles was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Sherry Ann Moyes, and a sister Margaret Moyes. Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at 11:00AM at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, 550 N. Newcomb Street, Whitewater, Wisconsin with Terry Deland officiating. Interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Whitewater, Wisconsin. Visitation will be from 10-11AM on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, Whitewater, WI.
