Obituary of Ruby Ellickson

Ruby "Glee" Ellickson, 81 of Cambridge, Wisconsin passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2014, at her home. Glee was born in Richland County, Wisconsin on August 22, 1933, the daughter of George and Ruby (Buroker) Clark. On August 2, 1952, she married Earl Howard Ellickson in Marshall Township, Wisconsin. Together they farmed on the family farm until they moved into Cambridge in 1990. Earl preceded her in death on July 22, 2014. Glee was a member of East Koshkonong Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Peace Circle for over 50 years, taught Sunday School, and was an officer in the Ladies Organization. She was a member of the Dane County Homemakers and a Charter member of the Christiana Bluebirds. Glee cared for several older people in the community, and most recently provided loving care for her husband until his death. Surviving are: Children: Jack (Judy) Ellickson of Stoughton, Roy (Mary) Ellickson of Cambridge, Ruby Ellickson of Cambridge, and Rose (Tom) Jelinek of Cambridge Grandchildren: Jessica, Jamie (Dan) Mowry, Joe, Jennifer Barton, Kimberly (Michael) Cutrano, Ryan (Megan Kalscheur) Ellickson, Matthew, Alesia, Pavel, and Roman Jelinek Great-Grandchildren: Haley and Nicholas Ellickson, Tristan Barton, Michael III, Caroline, Samuel, and William Cutrano, and Ethan, Josiah, and Sage Mowry. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Glee was preceded in death by her parents, brother Glenn and his wife Dorothy Clark, sister Gale and her husband Art Koehler, and a sister-in-law Marion Ellickson. Glee wanted to express her affection to all the numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews in the Ellickson, Lien, and Clark families. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, September 26, 2014 at East Koshkonong Lutheran Church, Cambridge, Wisconsin with Pastor Michael Rehak officiating. Interment will be in East Koshkonong Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call after 9:30AM on Friday September 26, 2014 at the church until the time of the services.
