Obituary of Douglas Warren Kiepert

Douglas Warren Kiepert, age 61, of Fort Atkinson, WI passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Facility in Johnson Creek, Wisconsin. Douglas was born in Watertown, Wisconsin on October 28, 1952 the son of Warren and Phyllis ( McFarlane) Kiepert. He graduated from Williams Bay High School. On May 5, 1984, Doug married Cheryl Freson at the Friedens United Church of Christ in Fort Atkinson, WI. Doug has been a driver for FedEx for the past 15 years. He loved driving semi, working on cars, and cutting fire wood. He enjoyed playing guitar, Beatles music, meeting and talking with people, and he loved to make people laugh. Surviving are: Wife: Cheryl Kiepert, His sons: Raymond, Adam (Torrey), and Tim, Siblings: Vicki (Tom) Boody and Allen Kiepert, and the family pet: Molly. He is further survived by his in-laws: Raymond and Donna Freson, special niece: Tiffany, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Doug was preceded in death by his father, Warren Kiepert and his mother and stepfather: Phyllis Kiepert and Larry. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 11AM at the Nitardy Funeral home Chapel, 1008 Madison Ave., Fort Atkinson, WI with Rev. Paul Scharrer officiating. Visitation will be from 11AM-2PM on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson and after 10AM on Monday, October 6, 2014 until the time of the services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Facility of Johnson Creek, WI.
