Margaret Nelson � Age 90, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin
Margaret passed away at the Golden Living Center, Fort Atkinson on October 10, 2014. She was born July 30, 1924 to Martha (Radke) and Hiram Price of Elkhorn, Wisconsin, and graduated from Elkhorn High School in 1942. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and graduated in 1947. After college, she worked as an art teacher in West Bend, Wisconsin and married Charles A. Nelson in 1951. Over the years, Margaret worked as an art teacher for various school districts in Milton, Fort Atkinson, Edgerton, and Jefferson.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Thomas, Robert, and Donald, and her daughter Terrie Jacobson. She is survived by her children Gene (Jeanniene) of Madison, Jill Traeder of Jefferson, Steve (Brenda) of Jefferson, and Keith (Helen) of Acton, Massachusetts. Margaret had 10 grandchildren (Michelle, Nicole, Rebecca, Jackie, JoDee, Laura, Melissa, Joe, Samantha, Taylor), and 9 great grandchildren (Zoe, Charlie, Henry, Eli, Dylan, Paige, Archer, Liam, Lucas).
She continued to express herself in her artwork and crafts for most of her life and loved to garden. She was a mother to all who knew her and will be missed by all.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, October 17h at NITARDY FUNERAL HOME, 1008 Madison Avenue, Fort Atkinson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday Oct. 17th at NITARDY FUNERAL HOME.
