Obituary of Carl Frederick Himmler

Carl Frederick Himmler, 78, a longtime resident of Ft. Atkinson, WI, passed away at his home on December 10, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Frieda Himmler; brothers Max Himmler and William Himmler, Jr.; and sister Doris LaBenz. Carl is survived by his sister Mary Rogers and niece LaDawn Krantz, both of Louisville, KY, nephew Lance Rogers of Scottsville, KY, nieces Renee and Linda LaBenz and nephew Michael LaBenz of Sussex, WI; and several great-nieces and nephews. He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, particularly his fondness for deer hunting, fishing, and boating. His nieces and nephews have happy memories of taking rides on the river in his boat, as well as spending time with him during the holidays. Carl served in the U.S. Navy and was a very dedicated worker for Jones Dairy Farm for many years, and also enjoyed helping his friends at their farm. When his mother, Frieda, began to have health issues, Carl cared for her needs and made sure she was comfortable. He had a good heart towards those he respected and would go out of his way to help friends and family. Graveside services with military rites will be held Tuesday, Dec. 23, at 11:30 a.m. at the Lakeview Cemetery on Janesville Avenue in Fort Atkinson. The Nitardy Funeral Home in Fort Atkinson is assisting the family.
