Obituary of Claire Emery Simdon

Claire Emery Simdon, age 78 of Cambridge, Wisconsin was taken home on December 12, 2014 by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God's plan for him included a courageous battle with cancer and the opportunity to be drawn even closer to the people that he loves. He will be remembered for many things, among them his creativity, his kindness, his helping nature, his love of golf and his steady faith. Claire was born December 5, 1936, at the family home in Cambridge, to Henry and Anna (Olia) Simdon. As a young man he spent 8 years in the naval reserves, and he was a carpenter and inventor for the majority of his life. He is survived by his three daughters, Stephanie Simdon of Watertown, Leslie Simdon of Wisconsin Dells, and Naomi (Russell) Blankenburg of Brookfield; by his two grandsons David and Benjamin Blankenburg; by his siblings, Marjorie (Elmer) Redford of Fort Atkinson, Carolyn Burow of Jefferson, Helen (Thomas) Schwartz of Albert Lea, MN, and Richard (Donna) Simdon of Cambridge, and by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Anna Simdon of Cambridge. Claire had permanent eternal life from the moment he believed in Christ. His family is very much looking forward to seeing him again and hearing about all of the wonders that he is currently experiencing. There will be a visitation held on Friday, January 2, 2015 at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, 208 N. Park Street, Cambridge, WI from 2:00-5:30PM followed by a Memorial Service at 5:30PM.
