Obituary of George William Brahmstadt

George W. Brahmstadt Jr., 64, of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient facility in Johnson Creek. George was born on April 29, 1950 in Sycamore, Illinois to George and Florence (Busch) Brahmstadt. He graduated from Palmyra High School in 1968. He met and fell in love with his wife Colleen Krieser and married on December 6, 1969,�� For 39 years he worked, repairing electric motors in Fort Atkinson for Modern Machine & Tool, Lake Geneva Spindustries, then opening his own business, GB Electric Motor Service in 1998. In 2008, he semi-retired working at R&H Services. His greatest passion in life was the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing with his family. He was a member of the Wisconservation Club. He is survived by his wife Colleen of 45 years, His three children; Steven (Jackie) and their children, Morgan and Cole of Whitewater, WI, Mark (Kalli) and their children, Nathan, Tyler, Anthony and Reese of Barrington, Ill., Kevin and his children Ally and Louis of Fort Atkinson, Mother-in-Law Lorraine Krieser of Fort Atkinson, Two brothers; Clifford (Sharon) Brahmstadt of Wyomissing, PA and Robert (Renee) Brahmstadt of Menomonie, WI, Four sisters; Ruth(Thomas) Belsan of Mesa, AZ, Shirley (Dennis) Martin of Littleton, CO, Valerie (Melvin) Root of Sturgeon Bay, WI and Mary Haley of DeForest, WI. and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Florence Brahmstadt, Two brothers; Wayne and Louis Brahmstadt and his Father-in-Law, Louis Krieser. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 10:00am at Bethany Lutheran Church, Fort Atkinson with Rev. Steven Wilkens and Rev. Ethan Steinbrenner officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 from 4:00-7:00PM at Bethany Lutheran Church and on Thursday from 9:00AM until the time of the service. He will be greatly missed by his family who loved him dearly. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Rainbow Hospice Care Facility in Johnson Creek for all the special care and concern they provided for George and his family. Donations may be made in George's name to Rainbow Hospice Care Facility or the Wisconservation Club of Fort Atkinson. The Nitardy Funeral Home is assisting the family.
