Obituary of Matthew S. Silveus

Matthew Scott Silveus Sr., beloved husband, father, son and brother, died on January 26, 2015 at the age of 50. Matt is survived by his wife, Anne Silveus (Henning); his children, Matthew Jr., Nicholas and Natalie; his parents; Vicki O�Connell and Bill Silveus (Jill Zachow); his brother Jay Silveus (Bonnie Silveus) and his sister Erika Martin. He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents Glen and Margaret Hochstetler and paternal grandparents William Sr. and Eleanor Silveus. Matt was born in Janesville, WI on October 26, 1964. He grew up and spent his life in the Milton and Janesville Wisconsin area, graduating with honors from Milton High School in 1983. He then went on to study secondary education with an emphasis on mathematics graduating from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater in 1989. He taught math just after graduating and was always a teacher at heart. After teaching, he went on to work in many different fields, including computer programming, financial planning, and other business ventures. He ultimately became a computer systems analyst at Data Dimensions in Janesville, WI. Matt loved weightlifting and exercising in general. He appreciated a good craft beer and was often found enjoying a cup of coffee at his "second office", Starbucks. He was well loved by his classmates and maintained many of those friendships throughout his life. Matt was an incredibly intelligent man who was always seeking to better himself through the pursuit of knowledge (as his full bookshelves show). He was a noted conversationalist who seemed to run into friends wherever he went. Most of all, Matthew Scott Silveus, Sr was a man of God who lived out his faith in his everyday life as a spiritual leader to his family and church. He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 12pm with a visitation time from10am until the time of service at New Life Assembly of God Church, 2416 North Wright Road, Janesville, WI 53546. Friends may call on Friday, January 30, 2015 from 5-8pm at River Hills Community Church, 2843 West Court Street, Janesville, WI 53548 Burial will be in the Milton Junction Cemetery.
