Obituary of Richard William Reese

Richard (Chick) William Reese, age 77, left us peacefully at St. Mary�s Hospital in Madison, Friday, January 30, 2015. Chick was born Jan. 10, 1938 in Madison, WI, the son of Charles and Mona (Hilgendorf) Reese.�� He moved from Rockford, IL to Whitewater, WI where he attended school. He attended UW-Whitewater for two years. He married Shelby Millard on October 14, 1961, in Whitewater. He left fondly remembering all of his class reunions, card playing friends, family and much more. He was an all-around athlete in school, loved football, golf, bowling, softball and playing cards. Chick is survived by his wife, Shelby, daughter Luann Gauthier, grandchildren Ashley and Andrew Gauthier, sister, Linda (Gene) Refior, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, John Gauthier. Funeral Services will be held at 5PM on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel 550 N. Newcomb St., Whitewater, WI. Visitation will be from 3-5PM on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the funeral home until the time of the services.
