Obituary of Isabel Ruth Reuterskiold

Isabel Ruth Reuterskiold, 95, of Fort Atkinson, passed to Eternal Life on Thursday, Feb 12, 2015, at Milton Senior Living in Milton in Milton, Wisconsin. Isabel was born in the Town of Christiana on Dec. 28, 1919, the daughter of Theodore and Lettie (Jacobson) Mickelson. On June 18, 1938, Isabel married Vernon Reuterskiold. Vern preceded her in death on April 24, 2007. Isabel worked in shipping and receiving for the J.C. Penney Company in Fort Atkinson for 31 years prior to her retirement in 1987. She enjoyed quilting and knitting. Over the years she donated hundreds of knit caps for newborns to the Fort Memorial Hospital as well as many quilted lap throws to various homes for the elderly. She also enjoyed participating in events at the Fort Atkinson Area Senior Citizens Center. Surviving are her children, Gary (Mary) Reuterskiold of Lompoc, Calif., Sue (Hugh) Weisensel of Racine, and Tim (Gayle) Reuterskiold of Milton; grandchildren, Stephen Reuterskiold, Timothy Reuterskiold, David (Heather) Reuterskiold, David (Courtney) Weisensel, Daniel (fiancee, Tracee Frohmader) Weisensel, Darin (Jennifer) Weisensel, Andrew (Ayano) Weisensel, Eric (Jodi) Reuterskiold and Ryan (Jessica) Reuterskiold,; great-grandchildren, Carina and Caitlyn Reuterskiold, Brittany, Megan and Lexi Weisensel, Josephine and Mary Weisensel, Trinity and Genevieve Weisensel, and Riley and Libby Reuterskiold. She is also survived by her sister, Betty Larson, of Rochester, Minnesota. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 17, at 11 a.m., at the First United Methodist Church in Fort Atkinson. Visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Fort Atkinson, following the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy might wish to consider a memorial to the First United Methodist Church in Fort Atkinson.
