Obituary of Ruth Mary Parker

Ruth Mary Parker, age 77, of Whitewater, WI passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at the Holton Manor in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. Ruth was born in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin on May 18, 1937, the daughter of Guy and Myrtle (Fergusen) Grant. She graduated from Whitewater City High School in 1954. On February 23, 1956, Ruth married William C. Parker. William preceded her in death in 1985. Ruth was a member of the First English Lutheran Church in Whitewater. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, playing cards, and taking care of her neighbors. Surviving are: Her children: Kathleen (Peter Lee) Parker, Big Bend, WI, and William (Lisa) Parker, Whitewater, WI, Grandchildren: Pamela "Susie" (Mike) Langhoff, Billie Jo Parker, Brooke Peters, Brittany (Greg) Vanderveen, and Chelsie Peters, Great-grandchildren: Harper Sue Langhoff and Cashton Steiger, Sisters: Lois Kitzman, Delavan, WI, Marlene (Frank) Foltz, Aurora, IL, and Karen (Craig) Hummel, Oregon, IL, Brother-in-Law: Ray Stritzel, Whitewater, WI, and Sister-in-law - Betty Ann Grant, Colorado. Ruther is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Mildred Brown and Harriet Stritzel, and brother Charlie Grant. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 21, 2015, at 11:00 AM at the First English Lutheran Church, 401 W. Main Street, Whitewater, WI with Rev. Jerald Wendt officiating. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Whitewater, Wisconsin. Visitation will be after 9:30AM on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the church until the time of the services. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater, Wisconsin is assisting the family.
