Obituary of Marie Althea Moore

Marie Althea (Halfpap) Moore, age 81, passed away on March 24th, 2015 under hospice care during a brief stay at Our House Assisted Living in Cambridge, WI. Marie was born in Chicago, IL on November 8th, 1933 to Albert Halfpap and Irene Hamm Halfpap. She graduated from Maine Township High School in Park Ridge, IL in 1952, and married Floyd Edward Moore on�November 14th, 1953. Together they owned and operated Moore Landscapes, Inc., in Glenview,�IL�and were active in classic car and boating communities. In retirement in the early 1980�s they began to spend winters in Lighthouse Point, FL, summers in Three Lakes,�WI,�and made their home on Big Stone Lake in Three Lakes, WI their permanent residence in 2004. Marie was an active member and past President of the Three Lakes Center For The Arts, and a proud Granny to her grandsons. Marie is survived by her daughter,�Debra (Steven) Davidson, of Cambridge, WI; son Victor Moore (John Tatooles) of Glencoe, IL; son�Eric (Marcia) Moore,�of Lake Forest, IL; grandsons Gregory Davidson, of Breckenridge, CO; Mark Davidson, of Big Sky, MT; Brent Davidson, of San Diego, CA;�Evan (Kathleen) Moore, of Gurnee,�IL;�Byron Garoufalis (fianc�e Michelle Havrilla), of Chicago, IL; and Nicholas Garoufalis, of Chicago, IL. Her husband; brother�Albert C. Halfpap; sisters Gertrude (Halfpap) Rost and Elda (Halfpap) Hofeldt Skadow;�and�nephew Roger (Kay Shannon) Hofeldt�preceded her in death. The family extends their deepest�gratitude�to all Marie�s friends in Three Lakes, WI.�All those�who loved�her and�watched over her�were especially close, helpful and supportive in her last year.�Profound thanks are extended to Rainbow Hospice and Our House Assisted Living�for the dedicated care given Marie. Donations in Marie�s name may be made to the Three Lakes Center For The Arts, Three Lakes, WI; or Rainbow Hospice, Jefferson, WI. Celebrations of Marie�s life will be held in Glencoe, IL on Saturday, April 25th (for family), and in Three Lakes, WI on Saturday, June 13th. Marie has requested a private burial. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Cambridge, WI is assisting the family.
