Obituary of Marie Helen Bockmann

Marie Helen Bockmann, age 88, of Fort Atkinson, WI passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Facility in Johnson Creek, Wisconsin. Marie was born in the town of Sumner, Wisconsin on March 31, 1927, the daughter of Paul and Estella (Riess) Gerhardt. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1945. On August 3, 1946, Marie married Harold A. Bockmann. Marie was a member of Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church, Fort Atkinson where she was a member of the Dorcas Society. Marie volunteered at Countryside Home/ Alden Estates in Jefferson, WI. Surviving are: Husband: Harold A. Bockmann, Fort Atkinson, WI, Children: Paulette (Hamilton) O'Dunne, Washington, DC and Steven (Bonnie) Bockmann, Dearborn, MI. Grandchildren: Steven Bockmann, Heather (Brian) Wagner, and Christian (Rebecca) Bockmann, Great Grandchildren:- Blake Bockmann, and Parker, Peighton, and Kylie Wagner, and Brother: Robert (Dolores) Gerhardt, Jefferson, WI. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Pauline and Ruth, and two brothers; Stuart and Kenneth. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 4, 2015, at 11:00 AM at the Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church, 404 Roosevelt Street, Fort Atkinson, WI with Rev. Ethan Steinbrenner and Rev. Steven Wilkens officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Visitation will be from 5-7PM on Friday, April 3, 2015 at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, 1008 Madison Ave., Fort Atkinson, WI and after 10AM on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the church until the time of the services.
