Obituary of Darlene M. Zanton

Darlene Zanton passed away April 20, 2015 at the Agrace Center, Janesville, WI. She was born January 31, 1923, the daughter of Arthur and Eda (Kienbaum) Wegner. She married Merlin Zanton, July 31st, 1947. She worked in the Whitewater Raincoat factory and was a homemaker. She was a Johnstown 4-H Sewing Leader. She sewed hundred�s of quilts for her church, First English Lutheran Church, Whitewater. Darlene enjoyed sewing clothes, costumes, stuffed animals and quilts for her family. She was an avid card player. Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son Robert, son-in-law, Larry Taugher, sister Dorothy, brothers Earl, Merle, Marvin, Howard, Ivan and Arthur (Bud). She is survived by her son, James (Mary Jo), Avalon, daughter-in-law, Jody, Wauwatosa, daughter, Judith, Loveland, CO, grandchildren Geoff (Sara), Jenna (Michael), Tricia, Marie (Adam), Lisa (Jon), Tom (Caitlyn), Steve, Matt, and Anna. Her eight great grand children are Marianna, Sam, Henry, Luke and Maggie Zanton; and Simon, Zeke and Abe Mood. Funeral Services will be held at 11AM on Monday, April 27, 2015 at the First English Lutheran Church, 401 W. Main Street, Whitewater, WI. with Rev. Jerald Wendt officiating. Burial will be in the Richmond Cemetery, Town of Richmond, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 27, 2015 from 9:30AM- 11AM at the church until the time of the services. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the Fort Health Care Center and the entire staff of the Agrace Center, Janesville. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater, WI is assisting the family.
