Obituary of Kenneth Frederick Strasburg

Kenneth Frederick Strasburg, age 76,of Fort Atkinson, WI passed away on Friday, May 15, 2015 at his home. Ken was born in Lake Mills, Wisconsin on March 8, 1939, the son of Frederick and Marion (Lentz) Strasburg. He attended Jefferson High School. On June 11, 1966, Ken married Maxine Schroder in Fort Atkinson, WI. Ken worked for many years at Crepaco in Lake Mills, and most recently was employed in the parts department of 59/I90 Truck Parts, retiring in 2013 after 30 years of service. Ken was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Atkinson, WI. He enjoyed racing stock cars in the area and he loved to bowl and hunt. He greatly enjoyed the time he spent with Blackie, his black lab companion. Surviving are: Wife: Maxine M Strasburg, Fort Atkinson, WI, Three Daughters: Pamela (Russell Thompson) Strasburg, Fort Atkinson, WI, Dawn (Chuck) Raasch, Cambridge, WI, and Susie Strasburg, Fort Atkinson, WI, Two sisters: Shirley (Glenn) Niederwerfer, Jefferson, WI and Vicki (Robert) Fleegel, Whitewater, WI, and Brother:Randy (Jenny) Strasburg, Jefferson, WI. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, a son Kenneth Strasburg Jr., Sisters: Beverly Strasburg and Barbara Belzer, and Brother: David Strasburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30AM on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1660 Endl Blvd, Fort Atkinson, WI with Father Brian Wilk celebrating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Visitation will be from 9:30AM to 11:30AM on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the church until the time of the Mass. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson, WI is assisting the family.
