Obituary of Lorraine Neva Jane Brummond

Lorraine Neva Jane Brummond, age 96, of Fort Atkinson, WI passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at the Black Hawk Senior Residence in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Lorraine was born in Richmond, Wisconsin on January 6, 1919, the daughter of Carl and Ida (Holz) Kreger. On July 29, 1937, Lorraine married William Frederick Carl Brummond in Delavan, Wisconsin. William preceded her in death on November 26, 2002. William and Lorraine had a dairy farm in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin where they raised purebred Holsteins. They also owned and operated Brummond's Bar and Grill in Oakland center prior to their retirement in 1986. Lorraine was a member of the Busseyville Community Church in Busseyville, WI. Lorraine enjoyed baking, gardening, and canning. She loved to entertain and spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are: Her Children: Patricia (Thomas) Hunn, Fort Atkinson, WI, Roger (Carol) Brummond, La Luz, NM, Donna (Bud) Hacht, Fort Atkinson, WI, Connie (Bill) Harris, Oklahoma City, OK, and William (Lori) Brummond, Jr., Fort Atkinson, WI, Ten Grandchildren, Twenty-five Great-grandchildren and Seven Great-great-grandchildren. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a sister Bernice Bittner. Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 12, 2015, at 11:00 AM at the Nitardy Funeral Homes Chapel, 1008 Madison Ave., Fort Atkinson, WI with Rev. Richard Lewis officiating. Burial will be in the Richmond Cemetery, Town of Richmond, Wisconsin. Visitation will be from 10AM-11AM on Friday, June 12, 2015 at the Nitardy Funeral Home until the time of the services. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Black Hawk Senior Residence for the wonderful care they gave to Lorraine.
