Obituary of Lawrence William Grosskreutz

Lawrence W. Grosskreutz 79, of Whitewater, WI passed away on Saturday July 18, 2015 at The Golden Living Center-Fort Atkinson after a long illness. He had lived with his sister Carol (Ed) Fero for the past 24 years. He was born in Watertown, WI on February 24, 1936 the son of Gustave and Hilda (Polensky) Grosskreutz. He graduated from Whitewater High School in 1954. Lawrence proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1959-1961. He retired from Whitewater Manufacturing Company in 1991. He is survived by two brothers: Richard (Bev) Grosskreutz of Whitewater, and Alvin Grosskreutz of Marietta, Georgia; sisters: two sisters: Shirley Matthews and Carol (Ed) Fero both of Whitewater, WI; and sister-in-law: Pearl Grosskreutz also of Whitewater. Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers: Gilbert, Edmund, Lester, David, Carl, Gustav Jr. , and his twin Clarence, three sisters: Pearl Liebel, Evora, and Maizie. Following cremation, private graveside services and burial will be in the Union Cemetery, Jefferson, WI. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater, WI is assisting the family.
