Eric Roloff

Obituary of Eric Frederick Roloff

Eric Frederick Roloff, age 82 of Whitewater, had his last rummage sale on Monday, September 21, 2015. The Good Lord called him home. Eric was born on January 6, 1933, in LaGrange, Wisconsin. He was the son of Eric Frederick and Helen (Pfiefer) Roloff, and the eldest brother to his eleven sisters and brothers. Eric gained a lifetime of hard knocks growing up on, and farming, land around Whitewater. He served in the United States Air Force. He married Marjorie Alice (Papcke) Roloff on April 18, 1953. He raised and provided for four children. Eric worked for General Motors in Janesville and retired after 30 years. From there he began another chapter in his book of life. Wintering 30 some years in Florida, camping in the Keys, golfing, playing cards, working in his garage or fixing something. He was always doing something. Most of all he enjoyed garage sales and the thrill of finding tossed out items to sell at his garage sale. Over the years, family and friends have been blessed with Erics many, many, stories told over and over again. How we will miss hearing those stories from him. Eric Frederick Roloff, Junior or Whitey to some, will always be remembered for his strength, courage, and faith in God. He was a tough provider and committed to his family. He is very much loved and sadly will be missed by his wife of 62 years, Marjorie, two sons: Frederick and (Brenda K.) Roloff, Fort Wayne, IN; and Curtis Roloff, Wolcottville, IN; a daughter: Brenda Lee and (Brian) Neumeister, Whitewater, WI; grandchildren: Katie, Bobbie and (Clint), Keith, Timothy and (Hope), Arin and (Joe); step grandchildren Jessica and Michaela; three great grandchildren: Joseph, Jayson, and Logan. He is preceded in death by his parents, six sisters, his beloved daughter Linda, and other family and friends. As requested, there will be no formal visitation or service. A future internment will be held in Hillside Cemetery of Whitewater, with a private family gathering. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 120 South Church Street, Whitewater, WI 53190. So, yes dadYouve got to give this stuff up. This is the last time youre going to do this. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater, WI is assisting the family.
