Obituary of Russell Lee Lange

Russell "Weasle" Lee Lange, age 71, of Whitewater, WI passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at his home. Russell was born in Pardeeville, Wisconsin on June 27, 1944, the son of Rudolph and Anna (Hobler) Lange. He married Karen Jean Nighbor (who legally is now known as C.J. Lexis) on December 17, 1966 in Dubuque, Iowa. Russell worked as a fabric cutter for Schweiger's in Jefferson, Wisconsin for 27 years and more recently had worked as an in home personal care worker for Country Nurses. Russell has served as Union Steward for Schweiger's Local 301. He was a big Matt Kenseth fan and enjoyed auto racing, fireworks, Halloween, playing poker, dancing, music, bowling, bird watching, time spent doing handiwork in his workshop, and gatherings with family at their homes. Surviving are: Wife: C.J. Lexis, Waupun, WI, Two Daughters: Wendy Karen Dean, Janesville, WI and Tanya Russell (Nick) Stein, Eden, WI, Grandchildren: Richard Lawrence Dean, Tenisha Kiley Dean, and Skyler Nicholas Stein, Siblings: Carl, Darlene, Don, Delores, Virginia, Jim, Diane, Jerry, Barbara, Linda, Richard, Debbie, and Judy. Russell was preceded in death by his parents, 4 siblings: Rudy, Carol, David, and Kathy, and an infant granddaughter Yvonne Courtney. A Memorial Gathering will be held beginning at 1PM on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Fairview Inn in Jefferson, WI. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater, Wisconsin is assisting the family.
