Obituary of Lucille Berniece Flynn

Lucille Berniece Flynn (Cone) November 23, 1923- November 3, 2015 Lucille Berniece Flynn (Cone) passed away peacefully in the presence of her children and grandchildren after a brief illness. Lucy was born in 1923 in Des Moines, Iowa.� Her family moved to Janesville Wisconsin when she was a child.� Lucy married Jerome Patrick Flynn in 1942.� They divorced in 1969.��Lucy relocated to Madison later in 1969 where she lived until 2001, then moved to Cambridge, Wisconsin. Lucy was a wonderful, intelligent, friendly, and creative woman. She was a loving mother, kind, generous, and caring.��� She loved God, was a woman of faith, and a prayer warrior.� Lucy was a long-time member of Asbury UMW church in Madison, and later a faithful member of Willerup United Methodist church.� While raising her children, she returned to school to complete her college degree.� Lucy attended UW-Rock County, earned her undergraduate degree from UW-Madison, and earned her Master�s degree in Library Science at UW-Milwaukee. �She worked as a librarian until her retirement in 1990. Lucille was the sixth child in a family of five boys and two girls.� She is survived by her one sister Betty Chrisinger (Cone), wife of Elden Chrisinger, long-time residents of Janesville. Lucy is lovingly remembered by her surviving ten children, 21 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Her family includes: Patrick and wife Sue Ann (Arntzen) (deceased), and their children Diedre and Rick Richard and their two children; Kerri and Ryan Ladiges and their three children; and their brother Jerome P. Flynn. Charles Flynn and wife Janet (Pardee) and their two children, Kimberly and Mark Fasczewski; Michael and Victoria and their two children. Mary (Flynn) Sheean and husband John and their son Peter. Stephen and wife Patricia (Michaels) and his daughter Jennifer and her two children and one grandchild. Joseph and his two sons Bryan and his son, Bruce and Terri (Unterholzner) and their son. Peter and wife Charlene (Johnson) and their three children, Tara and Nick Witte, Corey and her son, and Kyle. Matthew Flynn Frederick and wife Barbara (Spanbauer), and their two children Jessica and Trevor Kowalke, and their daughter; Sara and Corey Quinn and her daughter. Martha (Flynn) Cook and husband Brian and their four children Christopher and Jill, Caleb and Laura and their son, Chloe (Cook) and Austin Mehall, and Keziah Cook. Monica (Flynn) Wiesler and husband John and their three children Taylor, Madison, and Lily. Lucy was our beloved mother and friend; she will be greatly missed, and forever remembered. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the Willerup United Methodist Church, 414 W. Water Street, Cambridge, Wi with Rev. Brian Cook officiating. Visitation will be after Noon on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the church until the time of the services. Burial will be in the Willerup United Methodist Cemetery, Cambridge, WI Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial to the new Cambridge Public Library. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Cambridge, WI is assisting the family.
