Obituary of Joyce Joan Skinner

Joyce Joan Skinner, 66, of Fort Atkinson, WI passed away on Friday, November 13, 2015 at her home after a struggle with Leukemia.� Joyce was born on July 9, 1949 in Madison, WI to Henry and Clara (Strobach) Freudenthal. She graduated from Middleton High School and UW-Oshkosh with a B. S. in Education.� Joyce married Richard Skinner on June 16, 1972 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Middleton, WI.� She taught in the Beaver Dam School District for six years and was also a substitute teacher in Fort Atkinson and neighboring towns.� Joyce retired in 2011 from the Fort Atkinson Hospital after 17 years as a medical transcriptionist. Joyce is survived by Richard,� her husband of 43 years and their two children, Douglas (Eve) Skinner and Brian Skinner of Fort Atkinson.� She is also survived by her two sisters, Nancy Schwartz , Middleton, WI and Helen (Stan) Endres of Lodi. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 11:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Atkinson with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson.� Friends may call on Monday, November 16, 2015 from 6-8 pm at the Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson and at the church on Tuesday from 10am until the time of the service. Memorials may be made in to the American Cancer Society or to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
