Obituary of Shirlee Jean Zimmerman

Shirlee Jean Zimmerman, 84, Whitewater passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at her home. Shirlee was born on April 17, 1931� in Whitewater, WI to Wilbur and Marjorie(Ankomeus) Hesselman.� She married Lawrence Zimmerman on June 24, 1950. They spent 65 wonderful years together enjoying there family and friends. Shirlee was employed in the Food Service Department at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater for 18 years.� She enjoyed her dogs, horses and her grandchildren. She� was an active volunteer with the Senior Club. She is survived by her loving husband, Larry, Son, David (Sara) Zimmerman, Whitewater, Daughter, Gayle (Larry) Kipp, Mukwonago, WI., Grandchildren; Ashley (Bryan) Neumann, Blake (Kendell) Zimmerman, Lyndsay (Chris) Fercho, Rachel (Jared) Brom, Carly (James) Green, Great-Grandchildren; Haylee, Harper and Hunter Neuman, Quinn and Kai Fercho, Gracelynn Green and Jolee Brom. She was preceded in death by her parents, baby brother, Wilbur and her son, Jeffrey Zimmerman. Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 5:00pm at the Nitardy Funeral Home, 550 N. Newcomb St., Whitewater, WI.� Reverend Jonathon Rossman will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00pm until the time of the service. Memorials may be made to the Jefferson County Humane Society, St Johns Lutheran Church Whitewater or Rainbow Hospice.
