Obituary of Rosemary DeMott

Rosemary De Mott, age 86, faithful, humble, loving Servant of the Lord passed away peacefully on Monday, January 18, 2016. She was surrounded by the love of her family. Rosemary was born in Oconto, WI on June 21, 1929, the daughter of Albert and Anna La Mountain. Rosemary was a 1949 graduate of St. Joseph's Academy in Green Bay, WI. She married Orson De Mott Sr. on July 18, 1953 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Oconto, WI. Rosemary was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Whitewater, WI since 1961. She was the loving, compassionate mother of twelve children. Rosemary was a woman of great faith, who lived her life with grace and simplicity. She enjoyed baking, playing cards, Yahtzee, bingo, picnics, camping and vacations to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family especially during the holidays. Surviving are her children Joseph (Arlene) De Mott, Milwaukee, WI, Mary De Mott, Whitewater, WI, Theresa Munger, Whitewater, WI, Francis De Mott, Whitewater, WI, Michael (Sherry) De Mott, Upland, IN, Carol (Barry Pike Jr.) De Mott, Spanaway, WA, Lorraine De Mott (and friend, Steve Girard), Elkhorn, WI, Elmer (Deb) De Mott, Birkdale, Southport, England, Marguerite De Mott, Whitewater, WI, Orson (Michelle) De Mott Jr., Fort Atkinson, WI, Merel De Mott, Aurora, IL, and Earl (Jadwiga) De Mott, Virginia Beach, VA/Krakow, Poland; 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; many nieces & nephews; and a special person near & dear to her heart, Cheryl De Mott. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Orson De Mott Sr., siblings Anna, Theresa, Leonard, Verna, Lawrence, Albert, Earl, Lorraine and Elmer, and a daughter-in-law Rose Marie De Mott. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, January, 23, 2016, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1225 W. Main Street, Whitewater, WI with Father Mark Niehaus celebrating. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery, in Whitewater, Wisconsin. Friends may call from 4:00-7:00PM on Friday, January 22, 2016 at the Nitardy Funeral Home, 550 N. Newcomb Street, Whitewater, WI with the Rosary at 7:00PM. There will also be a visitation prior to Mass at St. Patrick's on Saturday from 9:30-11:00AM.
