Obituary of Charles F. Connolly

Charles Connolly, 88, passed away peacefully in his home in Fort Atkinson on Saturday, January 6, 2018. Charles was born on September 2, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois to Robert William and Frieda (Neumann) Connolly. He was the beloved husband to the late Grace (Molenhouse) Connolly, the loving father of daughter Ellen Narkis and son Michael (Carla) Connolly and an amazing grandfather to the true joys of his life: James Davey Jr, Kensington Narkis, Tyler Narkis, Wyatt Connolly, and Emmett Connolly. Charles was a veteran of the Korean War, a retired Chicago Fireman, and known in the local Fort Atkinson area as having been the maintenance supervisor at the Fort Heath Care Center as well as a member of the AARK. Charles was preceded in death by his wife Grace and two brothers Robert and Kenneth Connolly. He is survived by his children, his grandchildren, his brother Alan, his sister Doris Fons, as well as many nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, 1008 Madison Ave., Fort Atkinson WI. A short visitation will begin at 11:00AM followed directly by the funeral service at 1:00PM. Burial will be in the Busseyville Cemetery, Busseyville, Wisconsin.
