Obituary of Gordon Arthur Simdon
Gordon Arthur SIMDON, age 85, of Cambridge, Wisconsin, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at his home.
�Gordon was born in Cambridge, Wisconsin on March 28, 1924, the son of Ernest Paul and Marie (Streseman) Simdon.� On March 18, 1972, Gordon married Betty Stricker.� Gordon drove milk truck, worked at Borg Textilies in Jefferson and also the Royster Company in Madison.� Most recently, he delivered the Jefferson County Daily Union to rural Cambridge, Rockdale, and London.� Gordon enjoyed bowling, horseshoes, local raffles, playing cards, fishing and a good warm beer.
�Surviving are: Wife: Betty Simdon, Cambridge, WI, Daughter: Susan (Larry) Pitts, Tampa, FL, Daughter: Dawn (Special Friend: Tom Niehoff) Muchow, Mercer, WI, Daughter: Roanna (Tim) Lowrey, Cambridge, WI, Daughter: Brenda Manson, Waterloo, WI, and Son: Tom Stricker, Fort Atkinson, WI, Brother: Ronald (Ruthie) Simdon, Cambridge, WI, Sister: Arlene Turpin, Fort Atkinson, WI, Brother: Vernon Simdon, Cambridge, WI, Sister-in-Law: Ida Simdon, Cambridge, WI, Ten Grandchildren and Five Great-grandchildren. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends.
�Gordon was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers; Wilfred, Howard, and Franklin.
�Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 4, 2009, at 2:00PM at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, Cambridge, Wisconsin with Rev. Richard Dowling officiating.� Burial will follow in the Kroghville Cemetery, Town of Lake Mills, Wisconsin.
