Obituary of Joyce Elaine LaChance

JOYCE ELAINE LACHANCE, age 79, of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, died April 4, 2009 at her home in Fort Atkinson WI. �Joyce was born in Palmyra, Wisconsin on November 18, 1929, the daughter of Sigurd Conrad and Ottilie Minnie (Reinke) Helland.� She graduated from Palmyra High School in 1947 and attended Milton College in Milton, WI.� She married William Robert LaChance on June 10, 1950 at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Palmyra.� Joyce worked as a Library Aide for the Fort Atkinson Elementary School for 25 years and was the organist at Trinity Lutheran Church and currently at Peace Lutheran Church.� Joyce was a piano teacher to many area children and an accompaniest at the Middle School for band students. She was a charter member of Peace Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson. �Surviving are:� Daughter: Cynthia (Paul) Magnussen, Fort Atkinson, WI, Daughter: Marsha (Kenneth) Wolter, Fort Atkinson, WI, Granddaughter: Jennifer (Chris) Eichenberg, Fort Atkinson, WI, Grandson: Kenneth (Traci) Wolter, Fort Atkinson, WI, Grandson: Trevor (Jennifer) Wolter, Edgerton, WI, and Seven Great-Grandchildren: Mariah and Micah Eichenberg, Zia, Kaman, Aspen, and Quade Wolter, Liberty Wolter and an eighth great-grandchild expected in August. Brother: Gene (Betty) Helland, Salt Lake City, UT, other neices, nephews, and friends. �Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William R.� LaChance, and four brothers, Kermit, Bernard, Donald and Dr. Jerome Helland. �Funeral Services will be held, Friday, April 10, 2009 at 1:00PM at the Peace Lutheran Church, Fort Atkinson, with Rev.
