Obituary of Russell F. Kemmeter

Russell F KEMMETER, age 86, of Glendale, Wisconsin, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2009. Russell was born on November 13, 1922, to John and Fannie (Felbel) Kemmeter. He served in the 10th Air Force Division in 1944, flying missions as a pilot in India-Burma. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, with two oak leaf clusters, the Air Medal with four, and the Asiatic-Pacific theater ribbon. He received his BS from UW-Madison and his MS from the University of Chicago. He worked as an Account Executive for WTMJ-Television. Surviving are: Wife: Irene Kemmeter, Glendale, WI, Son: Brad (Dorothea) McConnohie, Lake Church, WI, Son: Rollin (Karen) McConnohie, Long Lake, WI, Son: Doug (Tina) McConnohie, Nashotah, WI, Son: Michael (Mary) McConnohie, Germantown, WI, Nephews: John and Tom Kemmeter, 10 Grandchildren, and Teddy. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2009 at 7pm at Goodman-Bensman Funeral Home; 4750 N. Santa Monica Blvd, Whitefish Bay, with Rev. Ken Stolar officiating. Visitation will be from 5pm until the time of service. Interment will be on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 10am, at Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.
