Obituary of Margaret Eleanor Tessman

Margaret E TESSMAN, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2009, at Hospice Home of Hope, in Fond du Lac, WI. Margaret Eleanor Royle was born on February 25, 1924 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey to Henry Phillip and Lily May (Flash) Royle III. She was married to Kenneth Tessman on December 21, 1945. Margaret was involved in her children's lives by being active in the Junior Golf Program at Koshkonong Mounds Country Club and being a leader for the local Girl Scouts. She was a long time member of the Koshkonong Mounds Country Club and later at Fox Lake Country Club after moving to Waupun nearly 35 years ago. She enjoyed golf and was proud to have played for nearly 20 years in State Mother-Son tournaments, the last being just 2 years ago. She also enjoyed sewing and going on gambling trips with her friends as well as numerous trips with her daughter and volunteering at Bethesda Thrift Stores. Surviving are: Husband of 63 years: Kenneth Tessman, and her five children: Jackie (Jerry) Gehrke, Jefferson, WI, Doug (Amy) Tessman, Evansville, WI, Denny (Deanna) Tessman, Fort Atkinson, WI, Kathy (Doug) Brandenburg, Fort Atkinson, WI, and Pam Stallsmith, (Sue Crary), Stoughton, WI, 14 Grandchildren: Michael (Mary) Yahn, Brian (Darlene Murphy) Yahn, Cynthia Yahn, Amy (Jeff) Heine, Lisa Hommen, Kenneth, Monica and Yvonne Tessman, Luke (Cassie) Tessman, Amber Tessman, Carla Castro, Jessi (Tim) Drager, Craig and Patrick Stallsmith, 6 Step-Grandchildren: Donald (Zoila) Yahn, David Yahn, Darryl (Cathy) Yahn, Jeff (Tammy) Gehrke, Jim (Jessi) Gehrke, and Brittany Brandenburg , 19 Great-grandchildren: Lisa Wollin, Tracy (Michael) Arevalo, Gyllian and Gretta Yahn and their mother Diedra, Donald Yahn, Eric and Stephanie Yahn, Valarie Yahn, Velicia Dunston, Kaela amd Emily Maas, Travis Lee, Wyatt Heine, Johnathan and Alexis Hommen, Ashton Tessman, Braden Drager and Zac Sterwald, 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren: Faith Maas and Donald Genz, a brother: Danny Royle, and special friends: Millie Bennin, Jackie Kendal and Connor Clark, Pat, Babe, Chuck, Bucky and many others. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, 6 sisters, and one great grandson, Levi Heine. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 from 2:00PM until the time of the service at 4:00PM at the Nitardy Funeral Home in Fort Atkinson followed by interment at Lakeview Cemetery in Fort Atkinson. Immediately following, friends and family are invited to a light supper served at the Legion Dugout in Fort Atkinson. Margaret will be missed by many and remembered affectionately by her family as Marge Tessman: the definition of unconditional love. Memorials can be made to Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.
