Obituary of Paul Fredrick Zoesch

Paul Fredrick Zoesch, Sr. was called to his heavenly home on August 21, 2009. Paul was born February 23, 1931 to the late Fredrick and Helen (nee Williams) Zoesch. Cherished husband for 57 years of Elaine (nee Schultz). Loving father of Jim (Katie), Paul Jr. (Cheryl), Deb Jordan and Dee (Ken) Mach. Proud grandfather of Cain, Aaron, Laura, Bryan, Jami, and Andrew and great-grandfather of Kit. Brother to Anita Altman, Dorothy Ford, Fredrick, Lorraine Furtak, David (Joanne), Gary (Mary), William (Bonnie), Ruth (Harvey) Bilz, Barbara (Eugene) Scherwinski, John (Jeanne), and the late Lois Stempinski and Eugene Zoesch. Brother-in-law of Arlene (Donald) Wartgow, Violet (Harold) Wegner, and Merlin (Jean) Schultz and uncle to many special nieces and nephews. Paul was born in Butternut, Wisconsin and he and Elaine relocated to Whitewater in 1954 where Paul owned and operated "Paul's TV and Appliance." He then worked at Chrysler Corporation in Belvidere, Illinois as a Skilled Trades Foreman retiring in 1992 with over 20 years of service. Paul continued to work after retirement at Winchester True Value in Whitewater where "he could fix anything." Although Paul enjoyed many hobbies throughout the years including snowmobiling at their cabin in northern Wisconsin and golf, his primary love was caring for his family. Paul was generous and caring beyond belief and truly would do anything to help his family. Paul never met a person who was not immediately his friend. He will be sorely missed by everyone. The family extends their grateful appreciation to Pastor Rossman of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Whitewater, Paul's caregivers at Golden Living Center in Fort Atkinson for their compassionate care, the Fort Atkinson Hospital 2nd Floor nursing staff, Dr.'s Eastman, Canon, George, and especially Dr. Williams for helping the family through Paul's final days, and the many family members and friends for their support. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, August 26, 2009, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 116 S. Church Street, Whitewater, with Rev. Jonathan Rossman officiating. Visitation will be held at the Nitardy Funeral Home in Whitewater on Tuesday, August 25th, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., and Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at church. Memorials may be made to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
