Obituary of Harvey George Hoffman

Harvey George HOFFMAN, age 101, of Jefferson, Wisconsin, died Saturday, March 6, 2010, at the Countryside Home in Jefferson, WI. Harvey was born in Hebron, Wisconsin on Januray 10, 1909, the son of Ferdinand and Hanah (Burnham) Hoffman. He attended the Hebron School. On August 8, 1936, Harvey married Evelyn E. Blodgett in Belvidere, Illinois. Evelyn preceded him in death on January 5, 1977. Harvey worked for the Jefferson County Highway Department prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Hebron United Methodist Church and the Hebron Young at Heart. He enjoyed his hunting and fishing. Surviving are his Son; Roger(Mary) Hoffman of Las Vegas, NV, Grandchildren: Carol(Mark) Tucker of Jefferson, Dr. Jane(Greg Zilisch) Pohlman of Jefferson, Rita(Frank) Marty of Jefferson, Franklin R. (Barb) Pohlman Jr.of Jefferson, John Hoffman of Palm Harbor, FL. and Bryce(Sandy) Hoffman of Oak Forest, Ill., Son-in-Law; Franklin Pohlman Sr. of Jefferson, 9 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, daughter; Shirley Pohlman, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2010at 1:00pm at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, 1008 Madison Ave., Fort Atkinson, WI with Rev. Karen Klatt officiating. Burial will follow in the Hebron Cemetery, Town of Hebron, Wisconsin. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00am until the time of the service.
