Obituary of Gordon Ray Roenneburg

Gordon R. Roenneburg 58, of Fort Atkinson, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. Gordon was born on January 22, 1952 son of Paul T. and Evelyn (Schroeder) Roenneburg. On February 18, 1978 he married Marilyn Becker at St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church in Helenville, Wisconsin. Gordy was a very loving husband and father and an excellent provider. He was an active member of the Army National Guard, were he served from 1972-1995. He was a longtime employee of the former Schweiger Industries, and was presently employed by Spacesaver Corporation of Fort Atkinson. His favorite pastime included spending time in his backyard chillin' and grillin'. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing, and was an avid NASCAR and Packer fan. �Gordy is survived by his loving wife Marilyn and two daughters Gina and Cassandra (fiance Demetrius) Roenneburg and one grandson: Owen Roenneburg all of Fort Atkinson, WI. He is also survivied by two brothers; Richard (Jackie) Roenneburg, Neshkoro, WI, and Paul Jr. (Ruth) Roenneburg , Kendall, WI, and two sisters: Patricia (Jerry) Stone, Edgerton, WI, and Nancy (Donald) Pate, Lynnwood, WA and many other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his father and mother-in-law William L. and Leola Becker, two brothers-in-law Henry Becker and Stan Wintermute. Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 19, 2010, at 7:00PM at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, Fort Atkinson. Friends may call after 5:00PM on Friday at the funeral home until the services.
