Obituary of Carl Edward Christianson

Carl "Cully" Edward Christianson, age 95, passed away Wednesday, the 21th of April, 2010 at HospiceCare, Madison, WI. He was born September 26, 1914 in Cambridge, WI to Ludwig and Bertha (Johnson) Christianson. Married Bernadine (Stark) March 27, 1937 in Cambridge by the late Rev. Olaf Borge. Together they built their home in Cambridge. A member of Grace Lutheran Church, he installed the cornerstone, removing it from the old Norwegian Lutheran Church, and assisted in building the church and parsonage. An ardent golfer, he started as a caddy in 1925 and was a member and stockholder of the Lake Ripley Country Club since 1941. He also enjoyed hunting and ice fishing. He worked as a clerk for P.L. Johnson (The T.C. Slagg Co.); at P.C. Westphal Hardware; at Creamery Package in Lake Mills, WI, and for 29 years at the Deerfield High Test Skelly Oil Company. Carl is survived by: his wife, Bernadine, his honey for 73 years; Two daughters, Diane Habeck of Jefferson and Bonna Jean (Jack) Maypark of Eau Claire, WI; Five grandchildren, Debra (Douglas) Fingles of Warner Robins, GA, Steve (Jennifer) Habeck, David Habeck, and Sherri Habeck, all of Jefferson, WI, and Lane Wilkinson of Eau Claire, WI; Seven great-grandchildren, Nathan Habeck, Shilo Vierck, Kody Habeck, Jennifer Fingles, Patrick Fingles, Tiana Wilkinson, and Miah Wilkinson; One great-great-grandchild, Kaileigha Amira Wilkinson and a brother: Robert Christianson of Fort Atkinson. Preceded in death by his parents; brother Ormal Christianson and sisters Mildred Clark and Beatrice Nordal; Grandchildren Todd Wilkinson and Kim Wilkinson, and son-in-law Fritz Habeck. Visitation will be 9-11AM, Saturday, April 24th, at Grace Lutheran Church, 501 Skogen Rd, Cambridge WI with services following at 11AM, with Rev. Dan Dibbert officiating. Burial will be in the Lake Ripley Cemetery. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Cambridge, is assisting the family with their arrangements.
