Obituary of Thane Harley Earle

Thane Harley EARLE, age 89, of Whitewater, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, died June 15, 2010, at Fairhaven, in Whitewater, WI. Thane was born in LaGrange, Wisconsin on May 9, 1921, the son of Harley and Marion Althea (Taylor) Earle. Thane had resided in Whitewater since 1950. On December 1, 1941, Thane married Mary Lucille Hayes in Dubuque, Iowa. Mary preceded him in death on November 1, 1989. On January 6, 1990 Thane married Corinne D. Cary Edwards in Whitewater. Corinne preceded him in death on January 21, 2010. Thane was a carpenter for 35 years and also farmed and was a horticulturalist. Thane was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Whitewater and it's Men's Club. He was a member of the American Pheasant and Waterfowl Society, Seed Savers of America and was very active in the 4H. He raised ornamental pheasants and many varieties of other poultry and animals. �Surviving are: Son: Dennis L. (Gail) Earle, Delavan, WI, Son: Rodney D. (Barbara) Edwards, Richland Center, WI, Step-Daughter: Sandy Cassady, Lancaster, TN, Step-Daughter: Bunny Veium, Whitewater, WI, Step-Daughter: Gayle (Donald) Quass, Whitewater, WI, Step-Son: Gary Edwards, Janesville, WI, Step-Daughter: Tina (Jay) Boss, Delavan, WI, Seventeen Grandchildren and Nineteen Great-Grandchildren, and a Brother: Roger (Joanne) Earle, Elkhorn, WI. Thane was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Mary and second wife Corinne. Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 18, 2010, at 11:00AM at the First United Methodist Church, Whitewater with Rev. Glenn Skatrud officiating. Burial will be in the Round Prairie Cemetery, Town of LaGrange, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 9:30AM on Friday at the Church until the services.
