Obituary of Gerard John Larsen

Gerard �Gerry� John LARSEN, age 93, of Cambridge, Wisconsin, passed away on Monday, June 21, 2010, at Country Comforts in Cambridge, WI. Gerry was born in New York, New York on December 17, 1916, the son of Viggo and Hanne (Sorensen) Larsen. He attended Westchester Community College. On July 3, 1945, Gerry married Nancy "Ann" M. Stevens in England. Nancy preceded him in death on October 17, 2007. They had one son, Michael John Robert Larsen who also preceded him in death in June of 2000. Gerry was an instructor at RCA Institute in New York and also New York State Signal Corp. He retired in 1970 from General Dynamics (Formerly Westinghouse) in New York. He later worked for Durant in Watertown for 13 years. He was a member of Willerup United Methodist Church and served as chairman of the Administration Council. Gerry also was a RSVP Driver and Past President of the local AARP Chapter, a member of Masonic Lodge of Cambridge, Social Lodge #245 and Pleasantville N.Y. Hiawatha Lodge #434. Surviving are Grandchildren: Scott (Sue) Larsen, Steven (Charlotte) Larsen, Anne �Andi� (Brent) Johnson, Emily Larsen, and Caitlin Larsen, and�Great-Grandchildren; David and Devin Larsen, Brandon, Sarah and Evan Larsen, Morgan and Garrett Johnson and Christian Haupt. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, June 27, 2010, at 12:00PM at the Willerup United Methodist Church, Cambridge, Wisconsin with Rev. Brian Cook officiating. Inurment will be in the Willerup Methodist Cemetery, Cambridge, Wisconsin. Friends may call from 2-4PM on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the Nitardy Funeral Home, Cambridge with a Masonic Service at 4PM.
