Obituary of Neale William Meumann

Neale William MEUMANN, age 65, of Whitewater, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2010, at Mercy Hospital, in Janesville, WI. Neale was born in Waukegan, Illinois on November 14, 1944, the son of Walter and Leone (Hendee) Meumann. He spent his early years on a farm near Gages Lake, Illinois in Lake County. In 1955, the family moved to a farm in Wisconsin. He graduated from Whitewater High School in 1962 and from the UW-Whitewater in 1971 and he received a masters degree in education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Neale served his country in the U.S. Navy, entering in 1962. He spent most of his service time specializing in intelligence work in Africa. Neale worked for Perlman Rocque and Borg Manufacturing. He also owned and operated the Shooter's Shop, where he made golf clubs. Neale enjoyed softball, pool, poker, golf, Harley Motorcycles, and his cats. Surviving are: Three Sisters: Judy Groenke, Grays Lake, IL, Louise (Jim) Fuerstenberg, Whitewater, WI, and Joan (Tom) McCaslin, Evansville, WI, and Special Friends: Steve Meinel, Whitewater, WI, and Laura Peche, Delavan, WI. He is futher survived by nephews and nieces. Neale was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Allen and his fiance Pam Jacobson. Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 9, 2010, at 11:00AM at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, Whitewater, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 9:00AM on Friday at the Funeral Home until the services. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial for a scholarship to support golf at Whitewater High School.
