Obituary of Joan R. Dullere

Joan Rosina Billing Black Dullere, age 88, of Fort Atkinson, died August 4, 2010 at the Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital. Joan was born on January 30, 1922 in Fort Atkinson to John and Audrey "Billie" (Billing) Black. She graduated from the Fort Atkinson High School in 1939. On July 5, 1941 Joan married Arnold C. Dullere at Trinity Episcopal Church in Galveston, TX. Arnold preceded her in death on October 29, 2003. Joan worked for James Manufacturing and also did secretarial jobs during the war. She, later, worked at Nasco in the Export Department, retiring after 24 years. She was a charter member of the Fort Hospital Auxillary, and was a member of the Fort Atkinson American Legion Auxillary. Joan was a past member of the Lake Ripley Country Club in Cambridge. She enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting, reading, and watching Badger and Packer football. Surviving are her son: Deke (Amy) Dullere; granddaughter: Tracy (Shane) Heth; great-grandson: Max Heth; nephew: John (Patty) Friedel; niece: Barb (Bernie) Nevoral; nephew: Tom (Kathie) Friedel; great-nephew and niece: Jason and Jaymee Friedel; and caregiver and special friend Cheryl Durkee. Preceding her in death were her parents ,loving husband, Arnold; sister and brother-in-law Audrey �Pat� and Wendell �Lindy� Friedel. A time of remembrence will be held at 11:30am at Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson on Friday, August 13, 2010, with visitation from 10am-11:30am. Those wishing an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial to Lake Ripley Country Club or Rainbow Hospice.
