Obituary of Viola Tracy Dickerson

Viola Tracy DICKERSON, age 88, of Whitewater, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2010, at her home. Viola was born in Albany, Minnesota on May 24, 1922, the daughter of Joseph and Kathryn (Reber) Gresser. She graduated from Albany High School in Albany, Minnesota. She worked as a secretary in Washington DC at the Pentagon and at the Ladish Co. in Cudahy, WI. Viola was a former member of the Seven Dolors Catholic Church of Albany, Minnesota and after moving to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. Viola lived in Milwaukee, WI for most of her life. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, puzzles, and crafts. Surviving are: Son: Larry (Joan) Dickerson, Whitewater, WI, Grandson: Jesse Dickerson, Whitewater, WI, Brothers: Arnold Gresser, Plainfield, IL and Cyril (Pat) Gresser, Wadsworth, IL and Sisters: Lillian (Len) Bungert, Greenfield, WI, Jean (Bob) Muth, Kenosha, WI, and Shirley (Bob) Fisher, Hales Corners, WI. Viola is also survived by nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 8, 2010, at 10:30AM at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, 550 N. Newcomb Street,Whitewater, Wisconsin with Rev. Walter Goers Jr. officiating.
