Obituary of George Thomas Mankowski
George Thomas Mankowski, age 88, of Cambridge, WI died Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Nazareth Health and Rehabilitation in Stoughton.
He was born on March 29, 1922 in Wild Rose, WI, the son of John and Elizabeth (Langowski) Mankowski. George came to the Cambridge area in the 1940�s to drive milk truck for Rudy Schroeder. On June 24, 1950 he married Clarice Strom. Together they farmed in the Town of Oakland for many years. George also worked at Larsen Canning Company in Fort Atkinson, and operated the gravel pit next to his farm.
Surviving are one daughter: Debra Mankowski of Cambridge

He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
George was preceded in death by his parents; his wife on October 1, 1995; his son: Brian; 6 brothers: Frank, Joseph, Edward, Raymond, John, and Richard; 5 sisters: Ann Marini, Stella Mankowski, Helen Olkwiewicz, Gertrude Grunewald, and Grace Fondell.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 11:00AM at Nitardy Funeral Home in Cambridge with Msgr. Gerard M. Healy officiating.
Friends may call from 4:00-7:00PM on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at the Nitardy Funeral Home, in Cambridge, and after 10:00AM on Wednesday.
