Obituary of Pamela Kay Schmit-Masterson

Pamela Kay SCHMIT-MASTERSON, age 56, of Whitewater, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2010, at her home in Whitewater. Pam was born in Appleton, Wisconsin on August 21, 1954, the daughter of Vernon John and Arla Jane (Porath) Schmit. Pam graduated from Appleton East High School in 1971 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from UW-Eau Claire. On August 31, 1980, Pam married Kim Howard Masterson at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Appleton. Pam worked as a special education educator for 30 years in the Milton School District. Surviving are: Husband: Kim Masterson, Whitewater, WI, Sons: Kyle and Quinn Masterson, Whitewater, WI, Father: Vernon Schmit, Appleton, WI, Sister: Jodi Schmit, Los Angeles, CA, Sister: Beth Braun, Appleton, WI, Sister: Heidi (Dan) Baumann, Appleton, WI, Brother: Kurt Schmit, Fort Atkinson, WI, Mother-in-Law: Phyllis Masterson, Whitewater, WI, Brother-in-Law: Bruce (Debbie) Masterson, Whitewater, WI, Sister-in-Law: Karla (Bill) Goodman, Whitewater, WI, Nephews: Michael, Brian, and Matt, Nieces: Kristin, Melissa, Erin, Rachel and Nicole. Pam was preceded in death by her mother, Arla Schmit. Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 26, 2010, at 2:00PM at the First English Lutheran Church, Whitewater, Wisconsin with Rev. David Kalas officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00AM on Friday, November 26, 2010 at the First English Lutheran Church, Whitewater until the time of the services. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater is assisting the family.
