Obituary of Russell Eugene Luther

Russell Eugene LUTHER, age 80, of Whitewater, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at the University Hospitals, in Madison, WI. Russell was born in Sauk County, Wisconsin the son of Henry and Ruby Viola (Hemberger) Luther. He graduated from Baraboo High School. Russell served his country in the US Air Force in the Air Police. In 1953, Russell married Barbara Madorin in Kirksville, Missouri. Russell worked for Wisconsin Bell and SBC as a lineman, installer, and in special services. Russell was a golden glove boxer. �Surviving are: Wife: Barbara Luther, Whitewater, WI, His Children: Karen (Peter) Luther Carlson, Muskego, WI, David (Patty) Luther, Whitewater, WI, and Elisabeth Luther, Lake Barrington Shores, IL, Grandsons: Tyler Russell Luther and Jeff Mark Luther, Brother: John (Joan) Luther, Madison, WI, Sisters: Dorothy (Harlan) Ware, Antioch, IL, Pearl Jermier, Mauston, WI, and Irene Pape, CA. Russell was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Juanita Harvey and Florence Gayner and brothers: Floyd and Ferdinand Luther. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 19, 2011, at 11:00AM at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, Whitewater, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 9AM on Saturday at the funeral home until the services.
