Obituary of William Schaefer

William SCHAEFER, age 83, of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2011, at Alden Estates of Countryside in Jefferson, WI. William was born in Milford, Wisconsin on November 1, 1927, the son of William Albert and Florence Josephine (Wendel) Schaefer. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. On September 10, 1948, William married Mary Anne Bray at the Trinity Lutheran Church Parsonage in Fort Atkinson. William was a member of the American Legion and he enjoyed working in his workshop and his garden. �Surviving are: Wife: Mary Anne Schaefer, Fort Atkinson, WI, Daughter: Valorie (Richard Bock) Schaefer, Viroqua, WI, Son: Brent Schaefer, Fort Atkinson, WI, Grandchildren: Maris and Raina Bock , and Brother: Robert (Margaret) Schaefer, Fort Atkinson, WI. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. William was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 25, 2011, at 11:00AM at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, Fort Atkinson with Rev. Bryan Engfer officiating. Friends may call after 9:00AM on Friday at the funeral home until the services.
