Obituary of Wilma M. Gross

Wilma �Toots� M. GROSS, age 91, of Jefferson, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2011, at Sylvan Crossings in Jefferson, WI. Wilma "Toots" was born in Jefferson, Wisconsin on November 8, 1919, the daughter of Leo and Meta (Heid) Niebler. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1938. On September 28, 1940, Wilma married Clarence Lucas. Clarence preceded her in death on February 12, 1948. She married Earl Gross on November 23, 1950. Earl preceded her in death on June 7, 2002. Wilma and her husband owned and operated Jahn's Meat Market in Jefferson. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson. Surviving are: Two Daughters: Catherine A. "Kate" (Dave) Bienfang, Fort Atkinson, WI, and Patricia A. "Patti" (Greg) Alex, Kearney, MO, Two Granddaughters: Kelly (Bob Rowe) Braun, Stevens Point, WI, and Jennifer (Jason) Hagen, Barron, WI, Great-Granddaughter: Rebecca Braun, Great-Grandsons: Jacob and Lucas Hagen, and Nephew: George (Carolyn) Niebler, Jefferson, WI. She is further survived by step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Wilma was preceded in death by her husbands; Clarence and Earl, her parents, her brother and sister-in-law William and Leona Niebler Private Family Services were held on Sunday, with burial in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Jefferson, Wisconsin. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial to Rainbow Hospice or St. John the Baptist Catholic Church both of Jefferson, WI.
